Privacy notice
This notice explains how ActiveMatch Ltd handles personal data for the launch list on this website and for the ActiveMatch app. It is a working draft and needs legal review before public launch.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Who we are
ActiveMatch Ltd is the data controller for this website and the ActiveMatch app. Contact us at [email protected].
What we collect on this website
The launch form collects your email address, the launch city context, your request for launch updates, and limited request information such as your browser user agent and the referring page.
What the app collects
- Account details and the profile information you choose to add.
- Event registrations, ticket status, check-in records and waitlist position.
- Verification status, timestamps and provider references.
- Messages between people who have mutually opted in after an event.
- Reports, blocks and moderation notes where safety requires them.
How we use it
- To manage the ActiveMatch launch list.
- To run events: reserve places, issue tickets, check people in and manage waitlists.
- To keep events safe and to act on reports.
- To send availability updates and event notifications where you have asked to receive them.
- To diagnose problems and protect our forms from abuse.
Legal bases
We rely on consent for marketing email, contract performance for running events you have booked, and legitimate interests for safety, fraud prevention and service reliability.
Verification and safety data
Verification runs before RSVP, attendance, matching or chat. ActiveMatch stores verification status, timestamps and provider references rather than raw identity documents or biometric data.
Safety reports and feedback
Post-event feedback, reports, blocks, moderation notes and audit logs are restricted to trained moderators and used for safety decisions. Reports are private and never become public ratings.
Sharing
We share the minimum needed with event hosts (your name and ticket status for door check-in) and with processors that run our infrastructure, analytics and crash reporting. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Launch list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Event and safety records are kept only as long as needed for safeguarding, legal and accounting duties.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, and you can unsubscribe from any email we send. Contact [email protected]. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Legal review
This notice is not a final legal document. ActiveMatch Ltd will complete privacy, safeguarding, event liability and online safety review before opening any public pilot.
