Code of conduct

These are the expectations for everyone using ActiveMatch — attendees, hosts, venues and partners — before, during and after an event.

Last updated: 20 August 2026

Core expectations

  • Be respectful, honest and considerate before, during and after every event.
  • Respect boundaries. No pressure, harassment, discrimination, threats, scams or coercive behaviour.
  • Follow host instructions, venue rules and event-specific safety guidance.
  • Use the report, block and feedback tools when something feels wrong.

Verification and attendance

Attendees must be 18 or over and complete the required verification before RSVP, check-in, matching or chat. Tickets are personal and checked against the host roster at the door.

Messaging and connection requests

ActiveMatch does not open chat before people meet at the same event. After an event, connection requests must be respectful and limited, and chat opens only when both people opt in.

Host and venue standards

Hosts keep clear rosters, check-in procedures, safety expectations and escalation routes. Venues provide practical arrival, accessibility and contact information for attendees.

Moderation actions

We may use warnings, chat freezes, event restrictions, suspensions, bans, host follow-up, or legal and safeguarding escalation when reports require action. Serious restrictions involve human review and an audit note.

No public ratings

Do not use ActiveMatch to rate people’s attractiveness, chemistry, romantic performance or desirability. Safety and event feedback is private and moderation-led.

Reporting

Report from inside the app, or email [email protected]. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first.
